I would have to agree with you. I get my laughs here too. The few days when there isn't a fanboy war, I get bored.
World War Z, is one of the better books I've read this decade. They are making it into a movie, so a game shoudn't be that hard to imagine.
And that's why halo is king of online shooters. All though COD4:MW is hanging on quite well too.

Yes HALO CE brought something new to FPS, a story that one could get immersed in.
Then the last FPS to bring something innovative to the FPS genre was COD4:MW, with the RPG elements and ranking up.
It's hard to bring something original to a genre that has been around for such a long time.
I'm not a HALO fan (love the 1st one, thats about it), but, I can admit that HALO is king of FPS.
Why, because how much it's still played. Pure and simple. Sales have a lot to do with it too. And a HALO killer can come on the xbox, it doesnt have to be a PS3 game.
But untill a game comes a long that has such a following, and is played years after it's release, HALO will remain king.
Personally I enjoy GRAW and RB6 type of FPS more.

With SONY's continued support of the PS2 is restricting the sales of PS3's in my opinion. If there was no PS2 to buy, then these people would turn to the PS3.
in 1995 was able to do 3D gaming, I'm sure that the 360 could do it now? Maybe not with SONY's tech, but with their own.

Back in the early to late 80's there was a 3D movie craze, and I went to see Jaws 3 in 3D. And I remember it being frigging cool, but 90% of the people came out with a headache.
So I'm curious.
I recently bought HALO CE thru the XBOX originals on market place, just to play the game that made me like FPS. Prior to HALO CE I would not play FPS, I was all about the RPG and racing games.
Man it brings back memories. The only thing is the game is not optimized for 16:9 aspect ratio.
